Climbing guide Mittelsachsen (Střední Sasko)

In the past, the rocky areas at the Zwickauer and Freiberger Mulde as well as Zschopau and Bobritzsch were only a "foreland" for the important Elbe sandstone and Erzgebirge climbing areas, but this picture has changed radically in recent years.

The traditions of the Elbe sandstone have largely been stripped away and with better protection, regular rock care, setting up new tours from above and the use of magnesia, modern sport climbing has found its way into the heart of Saxony. The rapid accessibility of the three metropolises of the state of Leipzig, Chemnitz and Dresden, the family-friendliness and the quick drying after rain contribute significantly to the popularity of the areas.

A highlight is the predominantly new climbing area Mittweida with dream lines up to 35 meters long!
