Climbing guide Ceuse Sport Climbing (2023)

Ceuse is a world class climbing area blessed with beautifully pocketed limestone rock, outstanding lines and in a magical location. It is famous for its outstanding hard routes on overhanging rock at sectors such as "Biographie". However, not all the routes at Ceuse are hard with many sectors providing a wide range of routes and styles across the grade range, including some multi-pitch routes up to 4-pitches long plus the odd trad route(s)... there's even some bouldering.

This new second edition of the Ceuse guidebook describes over 700 routes, are marked on colour photo topos. The vast majority of the routes are modern sport routes, although, as stated above, there os rthe odd trad route... these are shown in a different colour on the topos. At the start of the guidebook there is detailed access information on how to get to Ceuse, along with approach maps and descriptions on how to access each sector.

Ceuse is at an altitude of over 1,700m, so the best time to visit is late spring through to the autumn - the crag faces east, south and west, so it is always possible to find the sun or shade. Published in July 2023 this guidebook is in French and English text throughout and describes more than 150 new routes than the previous 2013 edition.
