Skitouring guide Hohe Tauern

With the Großglockner and Großvenediger, the Hohe Tauern in the heart of the Eastern Alps is not only home to two of the most famous and sought-after Alpine peaks, but also the largest national park in the Alps. Due to the high protection status, this almost 100 kilometer long part of the main Alpine ridge is comparatively little developed. Particularly in winter, therefore, in addition to some easily accessible fashion destinations, the remote and very lonely corners predominate. The ski tourer gets everything his heart desires in the Hohe Tauern: simple ski tours in the peripheral areas for beginners and connoisseurs or for days with unfavorable conditions, world-famous parade mountains for prestigious Facebook posts, remote and almost always untouched dream slopes as well as lots of adventure terrain for adventure-hungry mountaineers. We were able to win over a competent duo of authors to describe the more than 280 ski tours. The experienced ski touring expert Markus Stadler from Rosenheim was actively supported by Uta Philipp from Saalfeld, so that in addition to all common standard tours, there are also many little-known destinations. The routes are shown in meaningful overview images and in text form. There is also a download code in the book for the associated GPS tracks for electronic tour planning.
