Mountaineering in the Swiss Alps presents a selection of classic routes in the main Swiss climbing areas that have forged Switzerland's reputation as a mountaineering paradise. Stephane Maire is a secondary school teacher with qualifications in electrical engineering and geology. He enjoys every aspect of mountaineering and has climbed extensively in the Mont Blanc Range and the Eastern Alps.
