PETZL NEOX is a belay device with assisted braking designed for experienced climbers, suitable for climbing walls and rock climbing, for sport and performance climbing. Ideal for belaying first-time climbers, it has an integrated rotating disc that allows smooth and fast rope feeding to the climber when engaging the express belays. The ergonomic handle allows smooth control of the climber's rate of descent. It can be used with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm in diameter. Rope locking with cam support for more comfortable belay: when the climber falls or the system is loaded, the rope is tensioned, the disc locks and activates the cam, which clamps and locks the rope. Easy installation of the rope with a diagram engraved on the body of the device. Feeding and retrieving the rope and catching the fall is done using techniques standard for all Petzl belay devices, always holding the free end of the rope in your hand. The mechanical advantage of a 3:1 handle-to-cam ratio helps reduce the effort required for smooth operation. All plastic components, including the handle, are made from recycled polyamide. Not recommended for novice climbers, this is not a self-locking device, you must hold the free end of the rope in your hand at all times. If you grip the device with your hand while belaying and feeding the rope, you disable the locking function of the cam and if the climber falls, there is a risk of the rope slipping free, burning the belayer's hands and the climber falling to the ground.
